Cairo Street Food Evening Tour

Présentation
When dusk settles over Cairo, the street kitchens fire up and the city eats outdoors. Join a local host for a walking feast through downtown's restored belle époque lanes, starting with Egypt's national obsession: koshari, a hearty pile of rice, lentils, pasta, and crispy onions drenched in spiced tomato sauce.
Move on to taameya (Egyptian falafel made with green fava herbs), ful medames slow-cooked in copper pots since dawn, and hawawshi — spiced minced meat baked inside crusty baladi bread. Between stops, cool your palate with sugarcane juice or deep-red hibiscus karkadeh poured from old-fashioned stalls.
Finish in the lantern-lit alleys of Khan el-Khalili with dessert classics: om ali bread pudding, syrup-drizzled basbousa, and mint tea at El Fishawy, the 200-year-old café that has never closed its doors. Come hungry — this tour replaces dinner entirely.
