The drive from Cairo to Saint Catherine (approximately 430 km) already promises breathtaking panoramas: the landscape transforms as you travel south, from Egyptian desert to the dramatic granite mountains of the Sinai Peninsula. Wadi Feiran, the most famous oasis in all of Sinai, with its palm groves and natural springs, has been a place of life and pilgrimage for millennia. Wadi Salah and Wadi Zawateen offer spectacular formations of rock and valley, their colours and reliefs unlike anything else in Egypt.

Day 1: Cairo - Saint Catherine: Arrival and Bedouin Discovery

Early morning departure from Cairo with regular stops for comfort and meals. Enjoy the panoramic route through the Egyptian desert, with changing landscapes heralding the majesty of the Sinai. Arrival in Saint Catherine in the early afternoon, check-in at the comfortable hotel or lodge. A light stroll through the village to discover the local environment, the markets and Bedouin hospitality. Lunch and dinner at the hotel, with an introduction to local culture and traditions. Day 2: Mount Moses Sunrise - Monastery of Saint Catherine

Breakfast Dinner
Very early morning: ascent of Mount Moses to admire an unforgettable sunrise, a natural and spiritual spectacle. The pre-dawn hike takes approximately 2 to 3 hours return. As the sky brightens, the entire Sinai landscape spreads below you in successive layers of granite and gold. Return to the hotel for a hearty breakfast and a restful moment. Guided visit of the Monastery of Saint Catherine, one of the oldest Christian monasteries in the world, founded in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian and named after the Egyptian martyr Catherine of Alexandria. The monastery is famous for its ancient library - second only to the Vatican in the richness of its illuminated manuscripts and early Christian texts - and for its centuries-old icons. The burning bush identified in the Bible as the one from which God spoke to Moses is still alive within the monastery walls. Exploration of the monastery surroundings and exchanges with the local population to discover the Bedouin way of life. Afternoon free to wander through the village, photograph the landscapes or relax in a peaceful setting. Dinner at the hotel and a tranquil evening to enjoy the mystical atmosphere of the desert. Day 3: Wadi Feiran - Wadi Salah - Wadi Zawateen - Return to Cairo

Departure after breakfast for Wadi Feiran, the most famous oasis in all of Sinai, with its palm groves, natural springs and historical vestiges. Light hike and discovery of local fauna and flora, visit of historical sites and souvenir photos. The lush green of the palms rising out of the barren granite landscape is a sight unlike anything else in Egypt. Continuation towards Wadi Salah, known for its desert landscapes, rock formations and lush valleys. Exploration of Wadi Zawateen, where the colours and contours offer spectacular and unique panoramas. Quick lunch on site or en route. Afternoon departure for Cairo, with comfortable stops. Arrival in Cairo in the evening, assistance with luggage and end of the adventure. Enjoy the colours, textures and authenticity of the Sinai valleys and desert before returning to the capital.
